By using the Ascents platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You may use Ascents only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the platform to submit false or misleading logbook entries, impersonate other users, or engage in any activity that interferes with the platform's operation.

The accuracy of logbook entries is your responsibility. Ascents provides tools to record and verify experience — it does not independently validate the safety suitability of any individual for any activity.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Ascents a licence to store, display, and process it as necessary to provide the platform. We do not use your logbook data for commercial purposes beyond operating the platform.

Verified entries

Verification by a lead guide confirms that the guide was present and the entry reflects their recollection of events. It does not constitute a certification, endorsement of the user's competence, or guarantee of accuracy.

Limitation of liability

Ascents is a documentation and management tool. It does not replace professional judgment, risk assessment, or safety training. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascents is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from activities documented in the platform.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
